Craftsmanship
The dress is sculpted on the form in double silk crepe. On the front, a single line of hand-couched antique-gold thread follows the diagonal seam into the waist. The raised open back ends above the natural waist and is finished with the same thread. A satin-finished solid 18-karat white-gold bridge stabilises the opening; at its centre, a solid 18-karat yellow-gold pivot holds one flush-set round brilliant diamond. The lower back and seat remain fully covered.
The Story
The Meridian takes its name from the line by which position is understood. Here, one disciplined line locates the body in space: shoulder, waist and floor held in quiet alignment. It is a dress made to be remembered for the woman wearing it, not for the noise surrounding her.
