The Sovereign Umbrella

A full-length umbrella conceived as a permanent personal object. Its hand-carved walnut handle is joined to a tightly woven black canopy by a collar of blackened 18-karat gold, discreetly set with diamonds. Built in limited numbers and finished by hand, each piece reveals the individual grain of the walnut from which it was carved. Designed to be carried for decades, restored when required and passed forward.
