Craftsmanship
The waistband is shaped to the wearer and supported with silk petersham rather than elastic. Two shallow front pleats are balanced against rear darts so the trouser falls cleanly through the hip. Each 6 cm hem is finished by hand with nearly invisible blind stitches and protected with silk braid. A solid 18-karat gold Zkovari adjuster tensions the waist without a belt.
The Story
The Axis is the line around which movement is organised. Here it begins at the natural waist and continues through the crease to the floor—one controlled vertical that lengthens the body without forcing it.
